{"id":3823,"date":"2011-08-16T13:26:50","date_gmt":"2011-08-16T20:26:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/?p=3823"},"modified":"2011-08-16T13:26:50","modified_gmt":"2011-08-16T20:26:50","slug":"the-worst-street-photography-excuses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2011\/08\/16\/the-worst-street-photography-excuses\/","title":{"rendered":"The Worst Street Photography Excuses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"660\" height=\"405\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Cprjnf8g_w4\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A while back Thomas Leuthard (<a title=\"http:\/\/85mm.ch\/\" href=\"http:\/\/85mm.ch\/\">85mm<\/a>) put up a blog post on 500px titled &#8220;<a title=\"http:\/\/500px.com\/85mm\/blog\/5875\" href=\"http:\/\/500px.com\/85mm\/blog\/5875\">The Best Excuses On the Street<\/a>.&#8221; He came up with a hilarious list of mostly bad (some good) excuses to use when people ask what you are doing. I was inspired by the list and thought I&#8217;d take a stab at using a few of them on the streets. I called up my friend <a title=\"http:\/\/www.ifxstudios.com\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ifxstudios.com\/\">Alex Lea<\/a> and he recorded some footage of me from behind (while I recorded with a GoPro on top of my Leica M9). Yeah I shot the video a while back but didn&#8217;t have the chance to edit it until a few days ago ;)<\/p>\n<p>My favorite one that I didn&#8217;t mention in the video (but took a stab at Thomas): &#8220;<em>You should see Eric Kim, he is a creepy Korean tourist with a Leica M9\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Although I made this video for fun, I was quite surprised to see that most people reacted somewhat positively to these excuses. Perhaps one could use a lot of these excuses and get away with it.
