What does it mean to be an explorer? Exploro<\/a> in Latin \u00e2\u20ac\u201d to cry out, from scouting an area, perhaps a hunter\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s term. The general idea:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To scout out, and investigate an area yourself \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 out of your personal curiosity<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

This is the difficult thing: as children, we are naturally curious. Curious about everything. Yet when we become adults, the curiosity is beaten out of us, through education and discipline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why explore? Towards what ends?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A simple one is just to inspire yourself, witness new things and make new photos. For example, my new passion for the desert<\/a> and Joshua Tree<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extending the breadth and depth of the human soul<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Why is it that so many films and religions were founded on or based in the desert? Wide vistas, plains, and deep views \u00e2\u20ac\u201d extends the ambition<\/a> of the human soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is still so much left to be explored and conquered<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

No \u00e2\u20ac\u201d the world isn’t tapped out. This is only the cramped feeling we get from living in the suburbs<\/a> or over-crowded cities of ours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
