{"id":3508,"date":"2011-07-21T22:41:50","date_gmt":"2011-07-22T05:41:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/?p=3508"},"modified":"2011-07-21T22:41:50","modified_gmt":"2011-07-22T05:41:50","slug":"new-beginnings-day-8-street-photography-with-wireless-flash-at-santa-monica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2011\/07\/21\/new-beginnings-day-8-street-photography-with-wireless-flash-at-santa-monica\/","title":{"rendered":"New Beginnings Day 8: Street Photography With Wireless Flash at Santa Monica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"660\" height=\"405\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sSJKwYz_EEI\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Today I hit the streets of Santa Monica and the beach armed with my new <a title=\"YN-560 Speedlight Flash for Canon and Nikon\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B004GZLFHM?ie=UTF8&amp;seller=A14BYA46AJO8R3&amp;sn=ToddsTravelPhotos.com\">YN-560 Speedlight Flash<\/a> and <a title=\"Cheaplights NPT-04 Wireless Speedlight Trigger\/Receiver Kit\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B004C6LUCA?ie=UTF8&amp;seller=A14BYA46AJO8R3&amp;sn=ToddsTravelPhotos.com\">wireless transmitter<\/a>. It is a new setup that I have been trying out, which seems to be far better than using a chord for my street\u00c2\u00a0photography\u00c2\u00a0with flash. Not only is the kit extremely cheap (only $67 for the flash and $20 for the wireless transmitter) but it works well and gives me great images! Screw buying a <a title=\"Canon Speedlite 580EX II Flash for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Canon-Speedlite-580EX-Digital-Cameras\/dp\/B000NP3DJW\/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1311312369&amp;sr=1-1\">Canon Speedlite 580EX II<\/a> for around $500. Having shot with it in Santa Monica today, I have been extremely pleased.
