Then assuming that we are all in a stream of becoming, then the question is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>How can we become <em>MORE<\/em> entrepreneurial in our photography and life?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<div data-wp-interactive=\"core\/file\" class=\"wp-block-file\"><object data-wp-bind--hidden=\"!state.hasPdfPreview\" hidden class=\"wp-block-file__embed\" data=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/How-to-Become-More-Entrepreneurial-in-Your-Photography-2.pdf\" type=\"application\/pdf\" style=\"width:100%;height:600px\" aria-label=\"Embed of Embed of How-to-Become-More-Entrepreneurial-in-Your-Photography-2..\"><\/object><a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/How-to-Become-More-Entrepreneurial-in-Your-Photography-2.pdf\">How-to-Become-More-Entrepreneurial-in-Your-Photography-2<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/How-to-Become-More-Entrepreneurial-in-Your-Photography-2.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button\" download>Download<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Control<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Control the platform. Control yourself. WordPress.org as the ultimate open source platform for your photography blogging. Signup with a domain and host on bluehost.com or 1and1.com. I personally use 1and1.com (I signed up for it about 10+ years ago), but bluehost.com as probably the better solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Disconnect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2021\/10\/18\/unplug\/\">Unplug<\/a> yourself from the social media matrix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To become more entrepreneurial means to think differently. How does one think differently? Simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Unplug yourself from the sources of inspiration others have.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, avoid anything modern. Modern thoughts, modern ideas, modern trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want inspiration, seek the classics. I have gotten better ideas from reading the Iliad, reading the fragments of <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/heraclitus\/\">Heraclitus<\/a>, or reading the philosophy of <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/nietzsche\/\">Nietzsche<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Become more philosophical<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/philosophy\/\">Philosophy<\/a> is key. For example, even some of the greatest entrepreneurs (<a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/jay-z\/\">JAY Z<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/kanye-west\/\">KANYE<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2018\/10\/05\/12-lessons-peter-thiel-has-taught-me-about-life-philosophy-and-entrepreneurship\/\">PETER THIEL<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2018\/09\/19\/10-lessons-elon-musk-has-taught-me\/\">ELON MUSK<\/a>) have all dabbled with philosophy in one way or another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And what does it mean to become more philosophical or think more philosophically? Simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Whenever you smell B.S. anywhere \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 ask yourself &#8212; &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/why\/\">Why?<\/a>&#8216;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To question common sense, common knowledge and traditional ways of doing things\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 this is what entrepreneurship is. <strong>Shaking up tradition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Take more interesting risks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entrepreneurship means: risk taking. Take more risks with your photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, in street photography, <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2021\/07\/09\/the-danger-and-riskinesses-of-street-photography-is-what-makes-it-so-fun\/\">take photos when it feels risky<\/a>. For example when you see someone you want to photograph (either with permission \/\/ <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/street-portrait\/\">street portrait<\/a> style, or perhaps using a <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/flash\/\">flash<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also, take greater risks when <strong>sharing certain photos that you personally like, but photos you&#8217;re afraid that others won&#8217;t like<\/strong>. For example &#8212; let us say you want to experiment with a new post processing style (which is contrary to your traditional style) &#8212; I say take the risk and <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/07\/23\/just-share-it-3\/\">just share it<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Blog it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why do a photography blog? Photography blogging is a form and a method of deriving more sense of your photos. For example, if you&#8217;re not sure what direction your photos are going \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 blog it. <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2021\/10\/18\/figure-it-out-as-youre-blogging\/\">As you&#8217;re blogging, you will figure out your direction<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I also recommend yourself to disable comments, disable pageviews (stats) from your blog, in order to stay focused, and not get emotionally disturbed from changes in statistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. The great passion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What is <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2021\/10\/16\/the-great-passion-3\/\">the great passion?<\/a> That which you do which in doing it\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 is a reward in itself. For example, the thing that gets you (jumping) out of bed in the morning. <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2021\/04\/04\/things-you-want-to-do-vs-things-you-must-do\/\">The thing you do because you <em>MUST<\/em>, not because you &#8216;should&#8217; do it<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Things you do not for money, but for <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/09\/15\/autotelic-photography-3\/\">autotelic<\/a> purposes (you do it for the sake of it).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, in my mind \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 I fancy myself a <a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/crypto\">crypto<\/a> billionaire. Of course I am not, but \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 I wonder and think:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>If I were worth $10 billion dollars\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 where money literally has no more worth to me \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 what would I do with my life?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then it is simple &#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Empower other photographers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What does that mean? To motivate others. To share ideas which have helped you, and just &#8216;pay it forward&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2021\/09\/22\/the-motivational-photographer\/\">The motivational photographer<\/a> &#8212; a sure-key road to success as a <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/photography-entrepreneurship-101\/\">photography entrepreneur<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Write<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just write it, blog it, and share your ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How do we evolve? By taking the lessons, ideas, and wisdom from the past, remixing it, and &#8216;upcyling&#8217; it and sharing it with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No past, no
