Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t call it \u00e2\u20ac\u0153street photography\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u201d call it “walking your camera\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (like walking a dog).<\/p>\n

We are generally \u00e2\u20ac\u0153walk-deprived\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. We spend most of our days sitting in front of a computer, and stuck in office buildings (and other unnatural buildings).<\/p>\n

Walking is good for our mental health, our physical health, and for our creative and spirtual health.<\/p>\n

Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t put too much pressure on yourself in street photography. I am starting to see street photography as just \u00e2\u20ac\u0153going on a walk with a camera.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

So whenever I have the chance to walk from point A to point B, I always have my camera ready in-hand. So if I see something interesting, I just snap it without thinking. But if I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t see anything interesting, I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t stress. I remind myself, I just am going for a walk \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and bringing my camera along.<\/p>\n

Your camera is your best companion<\/h2>\n

Walk your camera like you walk your dog. Have it be a little companion for you. Make your street photography just an excuse to enjoy a walk.<\/p>\n

By walking more, you will see more interesting things, and the more you will take photos. And the more likely you will be to make a good photo.<\/p>\n
