You start off with a solid piece of marble (embodied reality), and then you figure out what to subtract, and chisel away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simple ways to get rid of distractions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Shoot vertical photos<\/li><li>Get closer<\/li><li>Shoot -2, -3 exposure compensation<\/li><li>Use a flash<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Bauhaus is all about simplification, lines, design, shapes, forms, and proportions. I have found that when it comes to <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/composition\/\">composition<\/a>, studying design and designers is far more useful than studying photographers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. To see means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>To look at every single visual thing with curiosity.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/09\/07\/texture-photo-project\/\">textures<\/a>. To see the textures, touch the textures, and to look at it all over. This means not to just look at things, but try to dissect and break them apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/leonardo-lessons\/\">Leonardo da Vinci<\/a>, he dissected human cadavers to figure out how the muscles worked, and took those lessons and applied them to his paintings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You&#8217;re not just a photographer, you must become a renaissance photographer! <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/04\/26\/your-own-renaissance\/\">Your own renaissance<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.
