Looking at the new Leica digital M10 rangefinders with fresh new eyes I now think:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wow, the design is so boring. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The design is classic and timeless, but \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 boring!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Perhaps timelessness and classic aesthetics and proportions are to be discounted. Perhaps, we need a new future aesthetic \u00e2\u20ac\u201d more extreme, more dense, harder, and more disdaining to please.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, even though I hate steroids and all the human growth hormones and artificial things in the world of bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, CrossFit, etc \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 it happened to be able to create some new beautiful \u00e2\u20ac\u0153freaks\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. I still find Ronnie Coleman and his physique far more interesting than the classic proportions of Arnold S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also even though I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m a huge fan of Porsche<\/a>, I would still prefer the extreme design of a Lamborghini<\/a>, even though the Porsche is probably arguably the superior car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus perhaps rather than seeking the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153better\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153superior\u00e2\u20ac\u009d design, choose the more extreme and insane design!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
