I think one of the biggest obstacles we have in street photography is hesitation.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Hesitating to take a photograph. Hesitating to have the courage to bring up our camera to our eye. By hesitating\u00e2\u20ac\u201d we miss the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153decisive moment\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, and we end up regretting not<\/em> taking the photo.<\/p>\n

How do we overcome hesitation in street photography? Here are some tips I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d give you:<\/p>\n

1. Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t think<\/h2>\n

I think to become a truly great photographer (at least in the streets) is to know how to turn off your brain<\/strong>. When shooting in the streets, I think we should shoot from our gut. We should be led by our sense of smell, our intuition \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and learn how to not<\/em> think so much.<\/p>\n

Personally, when I think too much when I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m shooting street photography \u00e2\u20ac\u201d I end up over-analyzing a scene, and not<\/em> taking the photo.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, I would recommend not<\/em> thinking so much about composition while you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re shooting (if you tend to hesitate on the streets). Because that is just another thing you need to worry about, instead of hitting the shutter.<\/p>\n
