{"id":309555,"date":"2021-04-01T12:48:30","date_gmt":"2021-04-01T16:48:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/?p=309555"},"modified":"2021-04-01T12:50:49","modified_gmt":"2021-04-01T16:50:49","slug":"on-design-photography","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2021\/04\/01\/on-design-photography\/","title":{"rendered":"On Design &#038; Photography"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>My interest and passion in <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/design\/\">design<\/a> &#8212; applied to <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/photography-101\/\">photography<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The greatest boon of studying design is applying the concepts to photography.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>How to design a frame (<a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/composition\/\">composition<\/a> is designating what is of importance to you in the <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/10\/25\/how-to-frame-the-scene-in-photography\/\">frame<\/a>).<\/li><li>Dynamic design (<a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/05\/23\/slides-introduction-to-dynamic-composition-photography-online-workshop-by-eric-kim\/\">dynamic composition<\/a> concepts)<\/li><li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2021\/03\/30\/dynamic-aesthetics\/\">aesthetics<\/a> of your photo (color combinations or <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2021\/01\/26\/5-creative-black-and-white-photography-assignment-ideas\/\">black and white<\/a>) and <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/12\/10\/the-art-of-post-processing\/\">post-processing<\/a> styles, etc.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To design: to designate.
