Beyond the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153decisive moment<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in photography. What we are actually searching for are *significant* moments in photography \u00e2\u20ac\u201d moments which are personally meaningful and significant to us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, the smile and laugh of your child<\/a> or loved<\/a> one. Even in street photography<\/a>, we are trying to capture certain moments which we find beautiful and significant to us, not just \u00e2\u20ac\u0153decisive\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Decisus<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To cut off, decide (decisus<\/a>, or decido<\/a>). The notion of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153decisive\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00e2\u20ac\u201d to cut off, or to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153decide\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In photography, we must decide whether to shoot the photo or not. But how and when do we determine if the moment is significant to us or not? Partly while were shooting, but more after<\/em> the fact. So in some ways, when in doubt, just shoot it<\/a> and figure out the significance later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
