{"id":306464,"date":"2021-03-16T11:11:02","date_gmt":"2021-03-16T15:11:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/?p=306464"},"modified":"2021-03-16T11:25:20","modified_gmt":"2021-03-16T15:25:20","slug":"relentless-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2021\/03\/16\/relentless-3\/","title":{"rendered":"RELENTLESS."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t stop, won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t stop!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Relentless \u00e2\u20ac\u201d or the marketing tagline of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.porsche.com\/usa\/models\/911\/911-turbo-models\/911-turbo-s\/\">new Porsche 911 Turbo.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Relentless \u00e2\u20ac\u201d an interesting motto to live our lives by. Technically it means to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153not bend\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/lentare#Latin\">lentare<\/a> means \u00e2\u20ac\u0153to bend\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in Latin). <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/lentus#Latin\">Lentus<\/a> can also mean \u00e2\u20ac\u0153slow, sluggish, sticky\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. In common American English now, I think we interpret being \u00e2\u20ac\u0153relentless\u00e2\u20ac\u009d as being steadfast, and never giving up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking it back to the Porsche 911\u00e2\u20ac\u201c it is a fascinating car and concept because it has essentially been the same car design concept for many decades. Every generation and version just a little bit better and more refined (the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153<a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/07\/08\/the-kaizen-approach-to-life\/\">kaizen<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d approach). And as we know in biology \u00e2\u20ac\u201d there are no such thing as huge leaps. Every step is an intermediate one \u00e2\u20ac\u201d nature evolves piecemeal, step by step. For myself personally <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2021\/02\/13\/why-i-photographed-the-birth-of-my-first-child\/\">now that I have a son<\/a>, I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t worry about myself too much. I know he will continue building something epic. My legacy is my life and my work, and the knowledge, wisdom, and attitude I give and teach my son (and other hypothetical future children).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"
