For 1.5 years, I&#8217;ll be in Vietnam (8 months in Hanoi, then 6 months in Saigon). After, 6 months in France (3 months in Paris, and 3 months in Marseille).<\/p>\n<p>Figuring out what to pack for 2 years abroad is tough. I&#8217;ve never done it. But for my trip, I&#8217;m deciding to pack my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00PXK4MBA\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=erikimstrpho-20&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;creativeASIN=B00PXK4MBA&amp;linkId=2681b9ba7b65b18d26dc2392a8bac072\" target=\"_blank\">ThinkTank Perception 15<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2015\/10\/20\/review-of-the-ricoh-gr-ii-for-street-photography\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ricoh GR II camera<\/a> (probably going to leave the film Leica at home, because digital is easier to travel with), GoPro Hero 3 (to <a href=\"http:\/\/youtube.com\/erickimphotography\" target=\"_blank\">do more YouTube Videos<\/a>), and of course my laptop (13&#8221; Macbook Pro) and smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge).<\/p>\n<p>I also am packing only 3 pairs of basic clothes (3 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uniqlo.com\/us\/product\/men-airism-mesh-v-neck-t-shirt-short-sleeve-133174.html\" target=\"_blank\">uniqlo airism v-neck mesh shirts<\/a>, 3 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B001M0MN02\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=erikimstrpho-20&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;creativeASIN=B001M0MN02&amp;linkId=53cb9df76c803d4417ed4a7033d87633\" target=\"_blank\">exofficio boxer briefs<\/a>, and 3 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B002ABX4I2\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=erikimstrpho-20&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;creativeASIN=B002ABX4I2&amp;linkId=20fa76e60b7efccedcdcde89a61c5096\" target=\"_blank\">drymax socks<\/a>). A few dress clothes, and my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kVuDLcgpCl8\" target=\"_blank\">Nike Free RN Motion Flyknit shoes<\/a> (my new favorite shoes).<\/p>\n<p>I plan on keeping the Kindle and the iPad at home&#8211; as I do most of my reading on the Kindle app on my phone.
