For example when I was a Boy Scout during Boy Scout summer camp, I got all three (archery, shotgun, and rifle merit badge) all in one summer! And similar parallels between &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zen_in_the_Art_of_Archery\">Zen in the Art of Archery&#8217;<\/a> vibes we get from Eugen Herrigel (apparently <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/08\/04\/eric-kim-critique-on-henri-cartier-bresson\/\">Henri Cartier-Bresson<\/a> loved this book). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The gist:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>When it comes to photography and street photography, we must harness the following:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Focus<\/li><li>Breathing<\/li><li>Not to shoot too quickly, nor too slowly<\/li><li>To parse out the <em>cadence<\/em> of our shooting (the rhythm in which we shoot photos)<\/li><li>All the while being mindful of composition, aim, and framing.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FPS shooter (first person shooter video games) and street photography?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-videopress\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"VideoPress Video Player\" aria-label='VideoPress Video Player' width='1180' height='664' src='https:\/\/videopress.com\/embed\/vlSswkrr?autoPlay=1&amp;loop=1&amp;muted=1&amp;persistVolume=0&amp;preloadContent=metadata&amp;hd=0&amp;cover=1' frameborder='0' allowfullscreen allow='clipboard-write'><\/iframe><script src='https:\/\/v0.wordpress.com\/js\/next\/videopress-iframe.js?m=1770107250'><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example let us consider &#8212; when you watch any of my GoPro POV videos, it is almost as if you are shooting the photos. It seems we like to harness this &#8216;POV&#8217; perspective, like a video game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is street photography so fun?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-videopress\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"VideoPress Video Player\" aria-label='VideoPress Video Player' width='1180' height='664' src='https:\/\/videopress.com\/embed\/3WslA5dD?autoPlay=1&amp;loop=1&amp;muted=1&amp;persistVolume=0&amp;preloadContent=metadata&amp;hd=0&amp;cover=1' frameborder='0' allowfullscreen allow='clipboard-write'><\/iframe><script src='https:\/\/v0.wordpress.com\/js\/next\/videopress-iframe.js?m=1770107250'><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I find one of the great appeals of shooting street photography is the joy in experimentation of timing, framing, and composition. Also what makes street photography so fun and interesting to me is the social interaction.
