Wozniak wanted to create Apple devices which could be changed, modified, and expanded. Steve Jobs didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t. The philosophy of Steve Jobs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The users are stupid and will fuck things up. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now Steve Jobs is partially right. There are a lot of people like your mom and my mom that just want something \u00e2\u20ac\u0153that works\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. But perhaps for other people like me and you (we have the <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/08\/25\/the-hacker-ethos-2\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"268397\">hacker ethos<\/a>) \u00e2\u20ac\u201d we would faaaar prefer having ultimate control, flexibility, modificability, and the ability to hack, change, modify, and add (or remove) to things! Perhaps this is a reason I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want a Tesla:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>With a Tesla, you cannot modify and change it. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Tesla is certainly a work of art. But would you rather <em>buy<\/em> a work of art, or create <strong><em>YOUR OWN<\/em><\/strong> work of art? I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d choose the latter. This is why social media is also lame:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>On Facebook, Instagram, etc &#8230; you cannot change and modify your profile and account the way *YOU* want it to be.
