Skin in the game<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First disclaimer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>When I first bought <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2018\/08\/09\/bitcoin-for-photographers\/\">Bitcoin (BTC) I bought it around $7,000 in 2017<\/a> and haven&#8217;t looked at the prices since. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/07\/23\/why-i-bought-bitcoin\/\">Why did I buy Bitcoin<\/a>? Pure greed and gambling. It is simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>If I buy it and it goes to a quadrillion dollars, this would be awesome. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I essentially took the notion from <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2018\/06\/24\/3-lessons-nassim-taleb-has-taught-me-about-philosophy-and-living-life\/\">Nassim Taleb<\/a> in his Antifragile book:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Better to put 10% of your savings and funds into a highly highly risky thing than to put 100% of your funds into a &#8216;moderate risk&#8217; category. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. For me, this is my prediction:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><a href=\"http:\/\/bitcoin.org\">Bitcoin<\/a> will become like the gold standard. You don&#8217;t really use it in everyday transactions; it just chills and accumulates wealth, and you can maybe use it one day to buy a house or something, or maybe even hand it down to your kids. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. href=\"https:\/\/www.htcexodus.com\/mea-en\/cryptophone\/\">Cryptophone<\/a>&#8216;; which essentially means it is a crypto-camera. To me this is interesting because:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Imagine one day you can sell your photos (one of one) digital copy via <a href=\"https:\/\/a16z.com\/2019\/11\/08\/crypto-glossary\/\">digital ledger system<\/a>. You can prove on the internet that your copy is the real copy. Right now with digital photos, all copies are equivalent. With Crypto (not currency), this is possible. <\/li><li><strong>A future of social media meets cryptocurrency<\/strong>. This is the general gist of <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2019\/03\/14\/why-ars-coin-is-a-game-changer-for-photography\/\">ARS COIN<\/a>; you can earn &#8216;photo coins&#8217; via your effort of giving honest feedback and critique to other photographers instead of just &#8216;liking&#8217; it. <a href=\"http:\/\/ARSBETA.COM\">ARSBETA.COM<\/a> as the only <a
