I am a pure empiricist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What is <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/supersto#Latin\">superstition<\/a>? It essentially means to believe in &#8216;meta-physics&#8217;, &#8220;energy&#8221; and all this other non-physics and non-biology based stuff. For example things I do *NOT* believe in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I do not believe in life after death (I believe in a <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/03\/14\/the-mortal-soul\/\">mortal soul<\/a>&#8212; a soul which dies once your body also dies)<\/li><li>I do not believe in aliens, UFO&#8217;s<\/li><li>I do not believe in the &#8216;spirit world&#8217;<\/li><li>I do not believe in religion literally (I am Catholic, but I like it for the <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2019\/09\/16\/aesthetics-are-ethics\/\">ethics and aesthetics<\/a> and the &#8216;pomp and pageantry&#8217; as <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2018\/06\/24\/3-lessons-nassim-taleb-has-taught-me-about-philosophy-and-living-life\/\">Taleb<\/a> calls it).<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I do not believe in superstition of any form.
