The gist:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Most people are simply products of their environment. Thus you cannot really \u00e2\u20ac\u0153blame\u00e2\u20ac\u009d anyone for anything. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So what does this mean from a practical perspective? My thought:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Rather than trying to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153change\u00e2\u20ac\u009d people, we should strive to <em>understand<\/em> them and see where they are coming from. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And once you understand them and their perspective, you can determine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Should I befriend this person or not?<\/li><li>Shall I do as they do, or shall I <em>NOT<\/em> do as they do?<\/li><li>How do I agree or disagree with them?<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A riff off the Spinoza quote.
