Instead, focus on play, fun, and personal self development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When is \u00e2\u20ac\u0153cheating\u00e2\u20ac\u009d a problem? Only when there is an organized sport or competition. But &#8230; in real life, real life isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t an organized sport or competition. Sports and organized competitions distort our view on reality \u00e2\u20ac\u201d I think primarily for capitalistic and money making enterprises. Because the truth is, as long as there is money, fame, power and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153winning\u00e2\u20ac\u009d on the line &#8230; people will always \u00e2\u20ac\u0153cheat\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. Consider even in the <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/04\/14\/life-lessons-ive-learned-from-the-iliad-by-homer\/\">Iliad<\/a> during the horse and foot race, one of the competitors \u00e2\u20ac\u0153tripped\u00e2\u20ac\u009d the other guy \u00e2\u20ac\u0153unfairly\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in order to win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-videopress\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"VideoPress Video Player\" aria-label='VideoPress Video Player' width='1180' height='664' src='https:\/\/videopress.com\/embed\/Z7EEGjCi?autoPlay=1&amp;loop=1&amp;muted=1&amp;persistVolume=0&amp;preloadContent=metadata&amp;hd=0&amp;cover=1' frameborder='0' allowfullscreen allow='clipboard-write'><\/iframe><script src='https:\/\/v0.wordpress.com\/js\/next\/videopress-iframe.js?m=1770107250'><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why compete?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I can <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2017\/05\/18\/how-i-can-deadlift-405-pounds\/\">deadlift<\/a> 455 pounds. I have zero interest in competition. Why? I only lift for my own personal <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/03\/05\/ego-is-good\/\">ego<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2017\/10\/06\/why-im-so-vain\/\">vanity<\/a>, and for <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/04\/12\/my-human-physiology-philosophy\/\">physiological<\/a> reasons. I like looking at my body naked, and I also like seeing my strength gains. I have zero interest whether others are stronger or weaker than me. Why not? I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not competing against nobody else. It doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t bother me whether I \u00e2\u20ac\u0153win\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or \u00e2\u20ac\u0153lose\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.
