Very interesting. Why? Metaphorically speaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Social distancing happens via technology. Now there is a viral pandemic, social distancing is affecting society in an interesting way. My thought:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>In some ways, we are actually becoming kinder to our neighbors, waving hello to them. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are becoming more PHYSICALLY DISTANT, but more emotionally close to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What will the future society look like?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-videopress\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"VideoPress Video Player\" aria-label='VideoPress Video Player' width='1180' height='664' src='https:\/\/videopress.com\/embed\/S7cuTaNW?autoPlay=1&amp;loop=1&amp;muted=1&amp;persistVolume=0&amp;preloadContent=metadata&amp;hd=0&amp;cover=1' frameborder='0' allowfullscreen allow='clipboard-write'><\/iframe><script src='https:\/\/v0.wordpress.com\/js\/next\/videopress-iframe.js?m=1770107250'><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or how <em>SHOULD<\/em> future society <em>SHOULD<\/em> be?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is our primary interest in sociology. The sociologist thinks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>What is the ideal society? How should we structure society, and what is the final end for society?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My thought:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Society as a MEANS for the individual to become great, and share his\/her greatness with the rest of society, to propel the human race forward and upward!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HOW CLOSE <em>SHOULD<\/em> WE BE TO OTHERS, AND WHY?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shouldn&#8217;t we only care for our friends, family, and local collective? Maybe nation? But beyond this &#8212; what role or duty do we got in terms of being &#8220;close&#8221; and &#8220;caring for&#8221; others?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or in other words:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>How far should we extend the notion of a &#8216;neighbor&#8217;?<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SOCIAL DISTANCING.
