Conquering fear. Don&#8217;t let fear paralyze you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Transform fear into your slave<\/strong>; you don&#8217;t want to be the slave of your own fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mental training I&#8217;ve done for myself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Realize there is no afterlife. <\/li><li>Once you&#8217;re dead, you&#8217;re dead.<\/li><li>Once you&#8217;re dead, no pain.<\/li><li>We&#8217;re only afraid of the pain <em>preceding<\/em> death. Thus if you don&#8217;t fear pain, you got nothing to really fear.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Physical strength<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-videopress\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"VideoPress Video Player\" aria-label='VideoPress Video Player' width='1180' height='664' src='https:\/\/videopress.com\/embed\/LJoShy1g?autoPlay=1&amp;loop=1&amp;muted=1&amp;persistVolume=0&amp;preloadContent=metadata&amp;hd=0&amp;cover=1' frameborder='0' allowfullscreen allow='clipboard-write'><\/iframe><script src='https:\/\/v0.wordpress.com\/js\/next\/videopress-iframe.js?m=1770107250'><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To conquer fear, build your body. <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/03\/15\/how-to-add-muscle-and-subtract-fat-at-the-same-time\/\">More muscle, less fat<\/a>. This is good for everyone&#8211; all humans irrespective of race, gender, body type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is what I&#8217;ve learned for myself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The more physically strong I become, the less fearful I am of fate.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My theory:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The more testosterone you augment in your blood stream, the MORE CALM you become, and the less you feel the physiology of fear.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How to increase our testosterone? Eat more foods high in cholesterol (<a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/03\/20\/cholesterol-meat-is-a-steroid\/\">fatty meats is a steroid for testosterone<\/a>). Lift heavy weights (dumbbell or bodyweight exercises). There is no downside to having a low body fat percentage (around 10% for men, 20% for women).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>If your body produces the stress hormones for fear&#8230; then certainly strengthening your body will make you LESS FEARFUL and LESS SENSITIVE to fear hormones.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Thus to conquer fear, we gotta be critical in terms of how fear is transmitted to us socially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Generally fear comes from the media. Social media, the <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/03\/17\/why-i-dont-follow-the-news\/\">news<\/a>, family, friends, etc. Other people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"WHY I&#039;M SO OPTIMISTIC: Rational Optimism #stoicism\" width=\"1180\" height=\"664\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MlfhiAknhrY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The way I think about fear is very practical:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Can this thing cause me permanent disfigurement or a likely death?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If so, I fear it.
