A thought:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During these moments of calamity, do I somehow have a duty or obligation to feel afraid and scared? If not, am I somehow a bad person?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

For example, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m currently NOT afraid, but everyone else tells me that I SHOULD<\/em> be afraid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why SHOULD<\/em> I be afraid? Perhaps it is because if I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not afraid, then I might get infected, and spread the infection to others, and others can die as a consequence of my negligence. Thus, it seems the rule is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You SHOULD be afraid because it is for the benefit of the greater collective.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Or in utilitarian terms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You as an individual aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t as important as the greater mass of people.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

But is this true, or should<\/em> this notion be posited as truth?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Who is more important?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
