wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>the belief that some races are genetically superior or inferior to others physically or mentally.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, a racist idea:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/03\/13\/asian-male-masculinity\/\">Asian men<\/a> are genetically physically inferior, and thus less masculine than other races (like African American, or Caucasian). <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, if you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re shocked I can <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2020\/03\/12\/my-powerlifting-philosophy\/\">deadlift 455 pounds<\/a>, but you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d be a little less shocked if an African American guy did it, it means there is some hidden low key racism at play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-videopress\"><div of low key racism?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">my thought:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Low key racism is most dangerous when it affects you, your own mentality, your own courage. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example if I believe that Asian men are genetically inferior and genetically less masculine than other men, then I will become very discouraged in terms of seeking sexual mates, especially if they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re African American, Caucasian, or Latino women. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Self racism<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-videopress\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"VideoPress Video Player\" aria-label='VideoPress Video Player' width='1180' height='664' example, in the African American community this is the bias:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Darker skinned men are more masculine and lighter skin men are less masculine.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Lighter skinned women are more beautiful and darker skinned women are less beautiful.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This happens also in Asian cultures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Darker skinned Korean males are seen as less intelligent than lighter skinned Korean males.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Lighter skinned Korean women are Why? Inherent in our bias in language:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>White is good, black is bad.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>White is life, black is death. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>White is beautiful, black is ugly.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>White is light, black is darkness. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I acknowledge that I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m the supreme social class in America, and above you. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">but this is highly problematic. Why? To be \u00e2\u20ac\u0153white\u00e2\u20ac\u009d isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t accurate. You can be Caucasian (from the Caucasus region), but not \u00e2\u20ac\u0153white\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">for example Turkish men are technically Caucasian and thus \u00e2\u20ac\u0153white\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. But would you call a Turkish guy \u00e2\u20ac\u0153white\u00e2\u20ac\u009d?
