Perhaps we should think of the phone less as a camera, more of a productivity device. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Have the phone as a mini mobile computer, and your RICOH GR III as your standalone primary camera. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

My thought:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If your ultimate desire and vision is to maximize your photography, use a “standalone” camera. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
No matter how good the new iPhone camera gets, it will always be far weaker and inferior to a “standalone” digital camera. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For example, testing the new iPhone Pro vs RICOH GR III: the GR 3 has at least 10x better image quality, performance, and ergonomics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Can you make a great photo on a phone? <\/h2>\n\n\n\nShot on a phone. In and out by ERIC KIM<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Tricky to say. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’d say right now:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s possible to shoot a very very good photo, but not a GREAT photo on a phone. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Why not? Physics. No matter how good a phone camera gets, I don’t think it will ever be good in terms of achieving ultimate beautiful and great aesthetics. <\/p>\n\n\n\nNo way in a trillion years can a phone camera look as epic as a digital medium format Pentax 645z<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
