{"id":181024,"date":"2019-10-22T08:25:05","date_gmt":"2019-10-22T15:25:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/?p=181024"},"modified":"2019-10-22T08:37:56","modified_gmt":"2019-10-22T15:37:56","slug":"we-desire-to-capture-raw-emotion-and-life-in-our-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2019\/10\/22\/we-desire-to-capture-raw-emotion-and-life-in-our-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"We desire to capture raw emotion and life in our photos"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A realization what we really want to achieve as photographers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>To capture raw, unfiltered, genuine, and &#8220;real&#8221; emotions from other humans (and ourselves). <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In street photography, we want to capture &#8220;authentic&#8221; moments, emotions, etc. This is why we generally like &#8220;unposed&#8221; photos; we believe we can capture more authentic emotions this way. <\/li><li>In portrait photography we want to capture the &#8220;authentic&#8221; soul of the subject, or we desire to capture an emotion or feeling we believe to be their &#8220;real&#8221; self. Or <strong>we photograph others in order to photograph ourselves and our own vision of humanity <\/strong>(Richard Avedon). <\/li><li>Even when we are photographing landscapes, things, objects, shapes and forms, there is something about our perspective and soul which we desire to communicate with others. <strong>You&#8217;re never photographing a thing or place; you&#8217;re photographing your own soul, perspective, and self. <\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A realization what we really want to achieve as photographers: To capture raw, unfiltered, genuine, and &#8220;real&#8221; emotions from other humans (and ourselves).
