In the Iliad, money was counted in how many oxen you owned, or however many slaves\/gold bars you owned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Money is good to buy a <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2019\/08\/19\/why-the-ricoh-gr-iii-is-the-best-travel-photography-camera\/\">RICOH GR III<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B07NSMJX2K\/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=erikimstrpho-20&amp;creative=9325&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;creativeASIN=B07NSMJX2K&amp;linkId=8c995f8ea09bc190808ab378360bb217\">$899 USD)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Money is good to buy a laptop (<a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2018\/06\/26\/turbo-creation-why-a-maxed-out-macbook-laptop-is-the-best-investment-you-can-make-for-photography-entrepreneurship\/\">maxed-out refurbished MacBook Pro, ~$2000 USD<\/a>). If you&#8217;re more frugal, it seems that an iPad (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/ipad-9.7\/\">~$330<\/a>) can fulfill 80% of the functions of a laptop. If you want the best &#8216;bang for the buck&#8217; device, it seems an <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2019\/03\/25\/if-you-love-looking-at-your-own-photos-buy-an-ipad-pro\/\">iPad Pro<\/a> is a solid investment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond food, coffee, having a computer, and paying your rent\/living expenses I don&#8217;t think that money is that valuable. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Currently on a cruise ship (what I consider a pseudo-utopia).
