I think so. Not directly, but this is generally what happens:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you travel, you focus on making photos, you shoot more, and thus you learn more, and improve your photography!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Travel isn’t necessary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You don’t need to travel to improve your photography, but travel certainly helps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe one of the best ways to improve is having the ability to focus and concentrate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us say we want to improve our photography. How do we focus and concentrate? Too often our ‘real lives’ (work, family, etc) distracts us. We cannot 100% dedicate our energies to photography. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mindset<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

How do we get into a ‘traveling mindset’? Or perhaps a photo-focused mindset?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I do believe some form of ‘creative isolation’<\/a> is highly beneficial. I know that living in Vietnam for a year was insanely beneficial to my creative growth. Why? Being able to think ‘outside of the box’ of American-centric thinking. Also being away from the politics and silly-drama of media-Trump-fakenews-sensationalism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zen creation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps then — travel is a form of zen-like focus. Perhaps when we are in the zen zone<\/a> we can truly evolve, thrive, and take our photography\/artistry to the next level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
