The RICOH GR III<\/a> is easily easily easily the best camera ever made [thus far] for street photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

1. Insanely fast<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

RICOH GR III<\/a> is epically fast. Startup time is super fast, image buffering is super fast, autofocus is super fast [and quite accurate].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a consequence, no missed ‘decisive moments<\/a>‘. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Exceptionally great dynamic range<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The JPEG [high contrast black and white] on RICOH GR III<\/a> is exceptional. There is so much epic dynamic range in the JPEG files; no need to even shoot RAW!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Superb high-ISO performance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

RICOH GR III<\/a> looks great in high-ISO situations. I’ve been shooting JPEG<\/a> on RICOH GRIII with P [program] mode<\/a>, and Auto-ISO<\/em><\/strong>, with fantastic results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Great with 21mm adapter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I am a huge fan of the new 21mm adapter<\/a> with the RICOH GR III. Makes the camera uber-wide, with practically zero distortion [it doesn’t look like a fisheye].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

21mm<\/a> essentially feels like a 28mm, except wider. You get more in the frame, which makes composition more fun and challenging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also you can shoot more ‘head-on’ with a 21mm, without standing that far away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Smallest size<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

RICOH GR III<\/a> as the smallest [and most powerful] camera for street photography. It is smaller than the RICOH GR II<\/a>, and quite literally fits in your front jeans pocket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The smaller your camera for street photography, the less intimidating it is to your subjects. Also, the more you will carry it with you everywhere you go, and thus you will end up shooting more street photography! <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
