However on the other hand, listening to and acting upon\/experimenting on unconventional wisdom has seemed to pay off.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lessons from AI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Poker-Playing AI Beats Pro Players\" width=\"1180\" height=\"664\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BDF528wSKl8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption>Lessons from unconventional poker strategies (AI)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Huge news&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/science.sciencemag.org\/content\/early\/2019\/07\/10\/science.aay2400\/tab-pdf\">AI has finally toppled the world of Texas Hold&#8217;em poker<\/a> &#8212; a notoriously difficult task, as it deals with &#8216;imperfect information&#8217;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What I found hugely inspiration and fascinating is this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>AI (artificial intelligence) has the ability to DISPROVE and &#8216;falsify&#8217; (Karl Popper) conventional wisdom.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, in Texas hold&#8217;em there are certain strategies which are deemed &#8216;superior&#8217; to other strategies. But this poker AI was able to tilt the conventional wisdom upon the head of &#8216;orthodoxy&#8217;. Which means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The AI (via self-play) ignored all the &#8216;conventional wisdom&#8217; of &#8216;Poker strategy&#8217;, and instead&#8211; taught itself NEW INSIGHTS via self-experimentation (a &#8216;tabula rasa&#8217; approach).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Discover new To approach any field or discipline as an &#8216;ignorant&#8217;\/blank mind. The last 3 years I&#8217;ve been experimenting with consuming NO PROTEIN POWDER, or any &#8216;supplements&#8217;, and <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2017\/04\/22\/why-i-fast\/\">fasting<\/a> before working out (I don&#8217;t eat anything before working out). Through practice and effort, I was able to <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2017\/05\/18\/how-i-can-deadlift-405-pounds\/\">deadlift<\/a> 430 pounds (1 rep max) via this regimen. Also note, I am an &#8216;ectomorph&#8217; typically &#8220;weak Asian-guy&#8221; physique, and my genetics for physical fitness is unremarkable.
