THE FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Brussels Street Photography Festival (BSPF)<\/a> promotes street photography as an urban research tool, a form of cultural communication and a visual art. \u00e2\u20ac\u2039Inspired by Brussels\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 urban landscape, the festival provides an \u00e2\u20ac\u2039international platform\u00c2\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>that looks at the city through the unique eyes of its citizens and engaged photographers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program focuses on two photography contests. The best images submitted will be displayed on an open exhibition in Brussels. All is accompanied by lectures, workshops, round-tables, photo walks and photo feedbacks \u00e2\u20ac\u201c gathering both professionals and amateurs photographers.
The main exhibition will open at Centre Tour \u00c3\u00a0 Plomb, on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 7pm. Entrance isfree of charge.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONTESTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two different street photography contests are available: \u00e2\u20ac\u2039Singles \u00e2\u20ac\u2039<\/em><\/strong>and \u00e2\u20ac\u2039Series\u00e2\u20ac\u2039<\/em><\/strong>. The main exhibition will display finalists selected from both competitions. Winners will be announced on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Two winners for each category will be selected for a total of \u00e2\u201a\u00ac4.900 in cash prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OPEN CALL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BSPF contests are \u00e2\u20ac\u2039open now <\/em><\/strong>for submissions. Participants can submit the photos to any of the two street photography contests until Thursday, August 1, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BRUSSELS CONTESTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the year, the BSPF will organize several contests related specifically to Brussels, to promote the act of taking pictures in the city. These competitions will be, when possible, associated with other events aligned with the BSPF. They will work as leverage to show the best photos submitted during the BSPF itself. The first contest is currently being defined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
