A thought:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Much of the beauty of artwork is from randomness<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Paint drips as a random\/fractal-like-dispersion pattern. Paint drips are beautiful<\/li>
  2. The beauty of the randomness of film grain dispersion in photographs. <\/li>
  3. The joy of shooting with ‘film camera simulation’ phone apps like ‘CALLA CAM<\/a>‘ for iPhone. The fun, joy, and excitement of NOT knowing what a photo will look like before you shoot it. <\/li>
  4. The joy of shooting expired film– the random aesthetic effects of expired film are often beautiful.<\/li>
  5. The joy of random beautiful light leaks with film cameras. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Is artwork created from randomness ‘legitimate’?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    \"\"<\/figure><\/div>
    \"\"<\/figure><\/div>
    \"\"<\/figure><\/div><\/div>
    \"\"<\/figure><\/div>
    \"\"<\/figure><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    There is this bias:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The summit of wisdom\/knowledge is to be 100% logical and rational.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

    This is what Nietzsche calls the ‘Apollonian’. However, I think there is much wisdom in the Dionysian (the random, chaotic, and irrational).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Nietzsche’s notion is this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We must embrace BOTH the Apollonian (rational) AND the Dionysian (chaotic\/random\/irrational) in order to reach the summit of art-creation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

    Ideas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Don’t follow a regular schedule<\/strong>: Art-creation from the randomness of your schedule and how you live your daily life.<\/li>
    2. Walk in random neighborhoods<\/strong>: You will witness new random things to photograph.<\/li>
    3. Travel much<\/strong>: The randomness\/chaos of foreign environments as a positive stimulus to our innovative visions in art-creation.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
