Of course the two probably co-evolved in unison/synthesis– but for the most part, the purpose of the mind is to coordinate the movement of the body in order to procure food, shelter, warmth, and other tools/weapons of survival and thrivival.

Thus it seems that the mind is an “add-on” to the body. And it is my personal theory that many of the mental maladies we suffer from actually originate from maladies of the body.

For example:

Lack of bodily sleep, rest, recuperation

Too much poison in system (caffeine, alcohol, weed, cocaine, etc).

Lack of muscular movement and exertion (not enough walking, standing on our own two legs, or lifting heavy shit).

Too much hormonal signaling in body via sugar, simple starches/carbohydrates, and other modern pseudo-foods.

Lack of sunlight and fresh air (nobody talks about the importance of fresh air anymore; as we should).

Lack of thermal randomness (we need both conditions of extreme heat and cold to thrive).

Lack of hunger: When we eat 2-3 meals a day (with plenty of snacks and sugary drinks), we certainly never feel “real” hunger anymore. There are natural biological pathways via “autophagy” and growth hormones like SIR-t1 that are awakened via fasting and hunger. My solution: eat less frequently (one meal a day), not to eat “less” (for my one meal a day, I can eat up to 18 eggs as an “egg snack”)

Thus what if we lived our lives prioritizing our body first; before everything else? For example:

Never go a day without some physical exertion, going to the gym, or movement

Spend your money on meats, eggs and other nutritious foods to power your muscles. Spend more money on the gym and meats than spending money on gadgets, gizmos, and toys.

The harder you work during the day, the harder you must sleep and recuperate at night. Go harder during the day and softer at night (prioritize sleep above all else).

ERIC

A thought: What if we made our body the priority, not our “mind”?
