This is my takeaway after 2-3 years of not owning a phone:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Phones are the ultimate productivity tool, but it seems to have constant internet connectivity is a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153net negative\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Which means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Treat your phone like a mini-tablet. Ideally you would own a phone without a data\/phone plan, and you only used it with WiFi.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
For example, I got an old iPhone 6S plus from my friend (cracked screen, broken home button, and dead battery). I brought it to Vietnam, and got all the parts fixed for only $100. Now it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s like I got a brand new iPad mini mini. I am using it a lot to read books (iBooks), to write (iA writer \u00e2\u20ac\u201d what I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m using to write this), and even shooting photos with the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Calla\u00e2\u20ac\u009d film simulation app (tons of fun). Also when I have WiFi, I can blog from the phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tips<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
- Use the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Freedom\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Mac app to disconnect your WiFi access on your laptop to be more productive. <\/li>
- Regularly switch your phone to airplane mode if you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re not using it. <\/li>
- Charge your phone in a separate bedroom at night (don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t sleep with your phone in your bedroom).<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
