Street photography as the ultimate democratic form of photography :<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

All cameras are good for street photography; some better than others for different reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is just my personal opinion of great street photography cameras on a budget:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. RICOH GR II<\/a> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div><\/div>
\"\"<\/figure><\/div>
\"\"<\/figure><\/div>

All things considered, the Ricoh GR II<\/a> is still champ. Fits in your front pocket, no anti aliasing filter (sharp photos), and integrated flash that pops up with a flick– it is the ultimate streettog camera. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RICOH GR III is coming out soon, but I’d get the RICOH GR II<\/a> anyways as the new Ricoh GR III won’t have an integrated flash!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also pick up an ERIC KIM NECK STRAP<\/a> to complete your #ricohmafia look. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Lumix LX100<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I think the Lumix LX 100<\/a> is probably one of the most underrated cameras for street photography. Fast autofocus (micro 43rd), lightweight, sharp lens, and a wide 24mm lens. The newer Lumix LX 100 Mark II is also available (upgraded sensor), which can also be a good option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. The Best Bang for the Buck Street Photography Camera: Fujifilm X100F<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Fujifilm X100F<\/a> isn’t the cheapest camera but considering what you get for your dollars, it is the best bang for the buck. I’d liken the X100F to a solid Lexus car. Super fast autofocus, phenomenal image quality, lightweight, good styling, and fits our “one camera, one lens” ideology well (in praise of non interchangeable lens cameras<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Fujifilm X100F<\/a>, pick up a new Henri Neck Strap Mark III<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Fujifilm XF10<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The most promising new camera is the Fujifilm XF10<\/a>, but I’ve had a difficult time shooting street photography with it. Autofocus is still a bit too slow and unreliable for myself, but I love the colors the camera makes (especially in JPEG with SR+mode<\/a>). Maybe with some more firmware updates, this camera will have very good promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
