Risk aversion is what holds us back from achieving our personal maximum in life.<\/p>\n

Why conquer your fears in life?<\/h2>\n
Let us do a thought experiment: imagine a life in which you took NO risks in life. A life where you always took the safe option in life. Would this be a life worth living?<\/p>\n
Do you believe in an afterlife?<\/h2>\n
The only fact in life is that we will (one day) die. At best, the maximum human lifespan is 120 years. At worst, you might die today in a texting while driving accident.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, another question for you:<\/p>\n
\nDo you believe in an afterlife?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
I personally don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t believe in an afterlife. To me this is insanely empowering, because it means that this life is all upside, no downside. No fear of the firehell, with little devils poking my butt. No promise of an eternal blissful life in a cloud somewhere. No\u00e2\u20ac\u201d the only reality is this one; this physical world which we currently inhabit.<\/p>\n
In fact, I believe a lot of people don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t take interesting risks in life because<\/em> they are living for the afterlife, instead of our current life!<\/p>\n
Even if you do believe in an afterlife \u00e2\u20ac\u201d what is the afterlife is WORSE<\/em> than this world? What if in the afterlife you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have your same human consciousness?<\/p>\n
Thus for us risk lovers, I think we must banish the notion of an afterlife from our minds.<\/p>\n
\nWhy fear?<\/h2>\n
Obviously the fear of death is a good one. Also the fear of permanent disfigurement is also healthy.<\/p>\n
But besides these two fears \u00e2\u20ac\u201d all other fears are silly. For example these fears aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t worth anything:<\/p>\n

Fear of social stigma<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

Fear of being \u00e2\u20ac\u0153hated on\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or criticized by others<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

Fear of impoverishment<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

Fear of losing your possessions or your current lifestyle<\/p>\n
Once you no longer fear these petty things \u00e2\u20ac\u201d then what should you do with your life?<\/p>\n
\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nWhat does a fearless life look like?<\/h2>\n
A fearless life is a life in which you only do what YOU want to do, according to YOUR standards, for YOUR own personal purposes.<\/p>\n
Your personal motives can be selfish, selfless, or a bit of both. It doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t really matter.<\/p>\n
Once you are devoid of fears in life, you can do what you truly desire to do in life, instead of doing what society and others want you to do.<\/p>\n
In other words, when you no longer have fear, you are no longer a slave to others.<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nWhat do you desire to direct your human metabolism and life force towards?<\/h2>\n
My buddy Luke Warsnake gave me an insanely deep, profound, and fascinating idea:<\/p>\n
\nThe purpose of my life is to best effectively leverage and use my human metabolism towards a meaningful and impactful purpose.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Human metabolism is a fascinating way to see things, because every day, you have a limited amount of human metabolism (energy) to do things.<\/p>\n
It doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t really matter how much \u00e2\u20ac\u0153free time\u00e2\u20ac\u009d you have in a day, if you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have the power, motivation, or inspiration. So the notion of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153time management\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is faulty. I prefer the idea of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153metabolism management\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n
What is \u00e2\u20ac\u0153metabolism management\u00e2\u20ac\u009d?<\/h2>\n
Essentially every day, you want to be able to maximize your own human metabolism, to direct it towards your personal desires and needs.<\/p>\n
Things that rob your metabolism:<\/p>\n

- Consuming sugary or starchy foods or drinks<\/li>\n
- Negative people, drama<\/li>\n
- Lack of movement, exercise, or sunlight<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Things which stimulate and increase your metabolism:<\/p>\n
\n
- Lifting heavy weights at the gym, or challenging physical activity<\/li>\n
- Walking around or standing<\/li>\n
- Coffee, tea, caffeine<\/li>\n
- Stimulating music (preferably with a heavy bass line)<\/li>\n
- Having an interesting and fun challenge to direct your energy towards<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
It means maximizing your personal energy in a day, to have the willpower to do epic work.<\/p>\n
\nWhat epic substance do you wish to create in life?<\/h2>\n
Ultimately I think the most important thing in life is the work you produce.<\/p>\n
Consider, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153work\u00e2\u20ac\u009d can apply to all these things:<\/p>\n

- Artwork<\/li>\n
- Ideas in books<\/li>\n
- Dances, theater, plays, movies, cinema, videos, films<\/li>\n
- Your actions towards others, or how you lived your life<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
The Latin word for a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153great work\u00e2\u20ac\u009d was \u00e2\u20ac\u0153magnum opus\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n
I think this is a simple goal in our life:<\/p>\n
\nSeek to make as many great works in our life while we are still alive.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Personally speaking, I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t think there is such thing as the one ultimate magnum opus you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re \u00e2\u20ac\u0153supposed to\u00e2\u20ac\u009d make in your lifetime. Instead, I prefer the idea that you can make MANY great works while you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re still alive!<\/p>\n
And of course it is impossible to know whether your work will become a magnum opus in advance. But it doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t matter \u00e2\u20ac\u201d we must still strive, attempt, and work towards that epic goal \u00e2\u20ac\u201d to direct all of your soul energy to doing the most epic work while you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re still alive!<\/p>\n
\nHelp yourself and help others<\/h2>\n
My simple formula in life is this:<\/p>\n
\nFocus on helping myself and others.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Helping myself means augmenting myself, my mind, and my personal strength in order to<\/em> empower others! Ultimately for myself, I want to best empower humanity \u00e2\u20ac\u201d my current fellow humans, and also future generations of human beings. But how can I do that if I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t empower myself to the zenith?<\/p>\n
\nMake fear your slave and obedient servant<\/h2>\n
The point isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t to eradicate the physiological manifestations of fear from yourself. The point is to HARNESS<\/em> the power of fear in a positive and empowering way.<\/p>\n
You want to make fear your slave\u00e2\u20ac\u201d like an obedient wolf, who will assist and help you.<\/p>\n
For myself, fear helps guide me and my life. Generally speaking, fear tells me what I should do. If you live a life in which you do things which you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re afraid of, you will live the most epic life possible!<\/p>\n
That means, still feel fear \u00e2\u20ac\u201d yet don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t let fear PREVENT you from doing what you truly desire in life!<\/p>\n

- Read stoic philosophy (Seneca, Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus) to conquer fear aversion. I thank Seneca especially for helping me conquer my worst fears in life\u00e2\u20ac\u201d by identifying then, by dissecting them, then laughing at these fears in the face.<\/li>\n
- If you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t believe in an afterlife, you will hustle harder in this lifetime.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Of course this is all just my opinion. You must dictate how you decide to live your life, according to your own standards.<\/p>\n
