Success in life is performing actions which advance toward your life goals. Thus, let us treat success in life as a constant process and practice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new perspective and definition of success<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In modern society we want to become \u00e2\u20ac\u0153successful\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00e2\u20ac\u201d but what does this really mean?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

First question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is success a final destination\/state, or is success a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153process\u00e2\u20ac\u009d?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

What I mean to say is this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you \u00e2\u20ac\u0153successful\u00e2\u20ac\u009d once you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve bought a house, have 2.2 kids, own a fancy car, have a million dollars of cash in the bank, and do your passion for a living?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Or, should we treat success as a process\u00e2\u20ac\u201d seeking to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153success\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (verb) every moment of the day?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Success as a verb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I propose we think of success as a verb, not as a final state. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, I like the idea of us \u00e2\u20ac\u0153successing\u00e2\u20ac\u009d when we are doing meaningful work. We also \u00e2\u20ac\u0153success\u00e2\u20ac\u009d when we at hustling hard, and creating things that are epic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For now, let us define \u00e2\u20ac\u0153success\u00e2\u20ac\u009d when we are advancing towards our life goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Success at the gym<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For example, let me talk about weight lifting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To me, I \u00e2\u20ac\u0153success\u00e2\u20ac\u009d every time I simply enter the gym. Why? Going to the gym is the key ingredient to practicing your lifts. And the more you practice, the stronger you will get. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, I \u00e2\u20ac\u0153success\u00e2\u20ac\u009d whenever I attempt a new maximum PR attempt. For example if I deadlifted 435 pounds last week (one rep) and I attempt a 440 pound deadlift, I \u00e2\u20ac\u0153success\u00e2\u20ac\u009d towards my ultimate goal of deadlifting 500 pounds. It doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even matter whether I am able to lift the weight off the ground or not, the gauge of success is whether I am advancing towards my goal.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, by pursuing your goals in life is \u00e2\u20ac\u0153succeeding\u00e2\u20ac\u009d! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whenever you act towards your goals, you are succeeding. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Succeeding as a process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To succeed more during your day, ask yourself throughout the day:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Am I performing actions which are headed towards achieving my life goals?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
