\n In life, strive for greatness. And seek to prove it to yourself, not anybody else.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In praise of self-directed goals<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

I think goals are good, only if you dictate them for yourself. This means:<\/p>\n

\n Disregard what society and others tell you to do. Disregard the societal norms of success, or what goals others<\/em> tell you that you “should” do.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/p>\n

For example, when I was 18 I had some goals I set for myself. I hit my goals, and I started to feel a bit empty and lost afterwards. This was the problem:<\/p>\n

\n I over-hyped the happiness I would get from hitting my personal goals.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In fact, once you hit a certain goal, the feeling of success-happiness only exists for about a day or so. Then it is “onto the next one”– setting even bigger goals for yourself.<\/p>\n

Proving it to yourself<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

With any goals you set in life, don’t seek to prove yourself to others. Prove to prove your own capability to yourself.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This means that you’re the ultimate judge of yourself and your own life<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Don’t aim low, aim high. Strive higher, and hustle harder. Hate the soft and comfort, go hard and never let up.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Prove your own ability to yourself; play the cards that life have dealt you the fullest.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Get the fullest from life; hustle hard, and harness the strife!<\/p>\n
