Why authentic photography?<\/h2>\n

The word \u00e2\u20ac\u0153authentic\u00e2\u20ac\u009d comes from the Ancient Greek, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153autos<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, which literally means \u00e2\u20ac\u0153self\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n

Which means,<\/p>\n

\n To shoot authentic photos means to shoot yourself.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

1. BOXING GYM: Gallo Boxing<\/h2>\n

First tip:<\/p>\n

\n Take photos to fulfill your own personal curiosity!\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Shoot what interests yourself. Shoot what you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re curious about \u00e2\u20ac\u201d things you are curious to learn more about. This means:<\/p>\n

\n What activities, social circles, or groups am I interested in — and can I photograph it?\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

For example, I’ve always been interested in boxing– and thought to myself:<\/p>\n

\n I wonder if I could do a photography project that documented boxing.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Thus, when living in East Lansing, Michigan — I found a boxing gym called ‘Gallo Boxing’ in Lansing, and photographed a mini-project there, and also recorded some videos on my GoPro on my RICOH GR II<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All I did was this:<\/p>\n

\n I showed up, and asked if it was cool for me to make some photographs around the gym. They said ok!\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Which means this:<\/p>\n
