comes from the word &#8216;petit&#8217; (French).<\/p>\n<p>Not sure where the word &#8216;petit&#8217; comes from &#8212; but the opposite of the word petty is grand (great&#8211;MAGNUS).<\/p>\n<p>The opposite of &#8216;magnus&#8217; Pangs of jealousy, envy, or hatred towards others.
