Our super deep conversations were like atoms colliding together&#8211; it was through this random chaos we&#8217;ve been able to brain-storm so many awesome and epic ideas.<\/p>\n<p>For example with Kevin, some new interests he inspired me with:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Machine learning<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Agile_software_development\">Agile software development\u00c2\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/fchollet\/deep-learning-with-python-notebooks\">Deep learning<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Open source data<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Jenae has taught me with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jenaecohn.net\/projects\/\">her projects on educational technology<\/a> (ed-tech) which has given me insane amounts of new ideas.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>2. For example, I got insane amounts of inspiration from Kevin by his interests in mathematics, geometry, deep learning, and statistics. I studied mostly humanities (sociology, psychology, philosophy) in school&#8211; and it is by &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2017\/11\/06\/the-art-of-cross-pollination-in-photography\/\">cross-pollinating<\/a>&#8216; that I was able to come up with new ideas such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2018\/08\/29\/how-photographers-can-see-like-machines\/\">How to See Like a Machine<\/a> (Machine Learning x Photography)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/open-source\/\">Open Source Photography<\/a> (Open Source information x Photography)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2018\/08\/12\/why-ai-artificial-intelligence-is-good-for-photographers\/\">Why AI (Artificial Intelligence) is Good for Photographers!<\/a> (AI x Photography)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>3. Don&#8217;t worry about fame, impact, or money. Better to make a meaningful and deep impact on a few individuals, than to mildly impact many people.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Better shoot for the moon and fail, than to attempt mediocre goals and achieving them.<\/p>\n<h2>5. All is in a state of <a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2017\/06\/13\/photography-flux\/\">flux<\/a> and change; it is your duty as a human to create new things which empower other people. But don&#8217;t take yourself too seriously. Don&#8217;t fall victim to &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2017\/07\/07\/paralysis-by-analysis\/\">paralysis by analysis<\/a>&#8216; and prevent you from experimenting, trying out new things, and building new innovative things and platforms!<\/p>\n<p>This is what inspired me to build <a href=\"http:\/\/arsbeta.com\">ARSBETA.COM<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0&#8212; as a fun creative experiment.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t take yourself too seriously.
