This is the problem in modern society: we consume about 90% of the time, and spend only around 10% of our time creating.<\/p>\n

I encourage the opposite:<\/p>\n

\n Let us spend 90% of our time\/effort creating, and only 10% of our time-consuming.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Let me share my rationale:<\/p>\n

First of all, I follow in the footsteps of Nassim Taleb<\/a>; I believe that wisdom comes mostly (via negativa) style; more information\/knowledge doesn’t mean more wisdom. Instead, to become wiser, we need to REMOVE\/subtract more junk from our heads.<\/p>\n

Therefore, just because someone has read 1 million books doesn’t mean they’re smarter\/wiser than others. In-fact, this individual might become “fooled by randomness”, and create false and spurious connections from having TOO MUCH<\/em> information — creating lots of false connections and flags.<\/p>\n

For example, if you had a dataset with 1 million points, you would discover false correlations left and right. And this is the problem with statistics and data science:<\/p>\n

\n We mistake correlation for causation.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
