Let’s say you have an “uninteresting” life. If so, is it still worth photographing? I say yes!<\/p>\n

I don’t think it matters whether you have an interesting or boring life. I still think it’s worth photographing! Why? To photograph is to show your gratitude for being alive, and your gratitude to life itself!<\/p>\n

It doesn’t matter what camera you shoot with. It can be your phone, a RICOH GR II, or anything that is simple and convenient for you. Far more important than what camera you shoot with is your power of observation and appreciation. To be a photographer means to notice, appreciate, and document!<\/strong><\/p>\n

To observe isn’t enough; as photographers, we must document and record. We must make the photo.<\/p>\n

Also I believe we must share our photos. To me, art doesn’t exist if there isn’t a human being looking at it, and appreciating it! For myself, if you had the Mona Lisa painting sitting by itself in a forest with nobody to appreciate her, the Mona Lisa wouldn’t be art. From a philosophical perspective, I don’t believe photographs have merit without having real human beings to experience them!<\/strong><\/p>\n

It doesn’t matter how boring, ordinary, or common your life is. You can still find beauty in the mundane. And that’s the true skill of a photographer: your ability to see and appreciate the ordinary beauty all around you!<\/p>\n

And the more you document your everyday life, the more joy and beauty you will find and discover. Keep it simple by just shooting with your phone or a point and shoot compact camera. Keep your photographic process super simple (KISS), and find more joy, felicity, and grace in your everyday life!<\/p>\n
