Thus, <em>DARK SKIES OVER TOKYO<\/em> is intended to be touched, held, and interacted with.<\/p>\n<p>From the noticeable weight, to the handheld size, to the removable portfolio&#8211; each component of <em>DARK SKIES OVER TOKYO<\/em> is intentional.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Brushing your fingers over the prints renders into sound the materiality of the image. Each individually-made 5&#215;7-inch print is made via the &#8216;giclee printing&#8217; method, with UltraChrome K3 archival ink on 96-pound matte paper &#8212; the heaviest and thickest photographic paper avilable in existence. This contributes to the Haptic Experience.<\/p>\n<p>The set of three prints are carefully\u00c2\u00a0placed\u00c2\u00a0in a removable portfolio made of eco-friendly Nepalese handmade paper. The prints may be re-ordered within the portfolio and hung on a wall for display. Or the prints may be removed and framed according to preference.<\/p>\n<p><em>This project was a labor of love and creative collaboration among Eric Kim, Cindy A.
