  3. solidity<\/li>\n
  4. color<\/li>\n
  5. form and<\/li>\n
  6. position<\/li>\n
  7. distance and<\/li>\n
  8. propinquity<\/li>\n
  9. motion and<\/li>\n
  10. rest<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    ‘use these rules to imitate works of nature which adorn the world.’<\/p>\n

    Mathematics and art<\/h2>\n

    five terms of mathematicians:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. the point<\/li>\n
    2. the line<\/li>\n
    3. the angle<\/li>\n
    4. the superficies<\/li>\n
    5. the solid<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n

      Different types of lines:<\/h2>\n
        \n
      1. straight<\/li>\n
      2. curved<\/li>\n
      3. sinuous<\/li>\n
      4. (has no breadth, height, or depth)\u00e2\u20ac\u201d indivisible.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        line: has no matter nor substance; is an imaginary idea than a real object\u00e2\u20ac\u201d because in nature it occupies no space.<\/p>\n

        Perspective<\/h2>\n

        drawing is based on perspective, which is nothing else than a thorough knowledge of the function of the eye:<\/p>\n

        perspective is when the eye is knowledgeable how to see.<\/p>\n

        Impressions of images on the eye:<\/h2>\n

        \n \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcif you look at the sun and then shut your eyes, you will see it inside your eyes for a long time. that is evidence that images enter the eye\u00e2\u20ac\u2122\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
