Dear friend,<\/p>\n

I wanted to write you this letter on how to overcome writer’s block. Why is it that so many of us have writer’s block, but none of us have talker’s block?<\/p>\n

I think nobody has talker’s block because talking is natural. But writing is very unnatural. So the way you could overcome your writer’s block is to just start talking.<\/p>\n

I discovered this technique where I use my smartphone and use Google’s speech to text technology to write down my thoughts on to the digital page. I use SwiftKey on Android and I touch the little microphone button and then I just start talking. Even these words are “typed” with the software.<\/p>\n

You can use the free talk to text transcription feature in Google Docs (if you use Chrome).<\/p>\n

But isn’t this cheating? No. I see writing as just another way to share ideas. Not writing for writing sake.<\/p>\n
