When we go to an all-you-can eat buffet, we overload our plates with too many different types of food. This often leads to indigestion, regret, and an upset stomach.<\/p>\n

I believe in \u00e2\u20ac\u0153creative constraints\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in photography \u00e2\u20ac\u201d that by imposing limits on ourselves, we are forced to over-compensate, and be more creaetive.<\/p>\n

So as an assignment, try to limit your palette. If you shoot color, try to only shoot the color red for a week. Or only the color blue. Or only warm colors (red, orange, yellow). Or only cool colors (blue, green, violet).<\/p>\n

If you shoot monochrome, only stick to dark and shadows. Or stick to only brightness and light.<\/p>\n

Limit your subject-matter. Only photograph old people, young people, or couples.<\/p>\n

Limit your gear. Stick to only one camera and one lens for a project.<\/p>\n
