First of all, what is ‘perspective’? Leonardo da Vinci defines it for us in his ‘Notebook‘:
“Drawing is based on perspective, which is nothing else than a thorough knowledge of the function of the eye.” – Leonardo
Therefore, perspective is the wisdom of the eye. Perspective is a trained eye– which knows how to determine what things look like in the ‘real world’.
