Fragile positions include lying on your back, sitting down?
Fragile in so far much as insecure; when you’re lying on your back, you’re in an inferior, dangerous position. For example in the UFC, or mixed martial arts, to be thrown down and on your back, just like a roach or something on its back; a rhino on its back is not a good position to be in. We cannot imagine a gorilla, a dragon, or anything lying on its back; it is a position of submission? Like someone lying down legs spread in a missionary position?
Sitting down is a similar idea; in school we are taught to shut up and sit down, and kowtow, obey the teacher. This is why I hate sitting; putting you or other people who are smaller or shorter or less dominant than you.
This is why when I get heated, I approach a person straight up, stand directly next to them, in front of them, stand straight up, and communicate to them how much bigger, taller, stronger, and more dominant I am than them.

A thought and theory; perhaps success, a “successful” person is somebody who has a healthy dose of autism or Asperger’s; being able to ignore avoid or not to placate to traditional desires.
Anti mimetic desires.

Is it really wisdom that we are seeking? Wisdom as a means to a greater end, not the end in itself.
And wisdom maybe seems like wise actions which are beneficial to your desired ends or outcomes or process.
For example, some wisdom I learned at the gym; don’t do any really really heavy pressing motions, too much force on your wrists.

For example, a lot of guys get really really depressed when they get injured at the gym, because their gym is their solo identity, their only life. Same thing happens with people who are influential in certain domains; when there is a small setback, injury, or wound which happens which dehabilitates them or takes away their ability from the domain, they get depressed.
I am fortunate that I have multiple personalities and interests. For example, if I get injured at the gym, and I lose some sort of ability, it doesn’t perturbed me that much, because I have other things going for myself. Photography, creativity, blogging, vlogging, philosophy, fitness, innovation etc.
-
For example, I am currently 35 years old. In a decade, I will only be 45, or 55 yearsq old! Still young.
And also, Seneca will only be 12 years old, 22 years old! Still young.
Perhaps with things, possessions, cars, devices, property, situation’s, investments etc.; think to yourself, will it still be tenable in 10 years or 20 years?
For example, I can easily see myself driving my Prius for another 10 to 20 years. I am dubious that any electric car or Tesla will last for another 10 or 20 years.
Also, iPhone, computers laptops, devices cameras etc.; none of them will last 10 to 20 years.
Also with building and designing things; maybe with websites, platforms, digital platforms, domains etc., think to yourself… will it still be tenable 10 to 20 years from now?

One of the great quotes from the movie 300; when king Leonidas‘s commander-in-chief pulls up with a handkerchief over one eye, king Leonidas asked him what happened. The commander-in-chief then says; oh sire, it is nothing but an eye. Thank God blessed me with two!

Assuming that in the ancient world, it was just some sort of open air gymnasium, in a big plot of dirt, in the direct sun, what type of training exercises would they do, what wouldn’t they?
The first thought is I am highly dubious that an individual would lie on their back, and try to press something really really heavy, while on the floor. You wouldn’t want to get your back dirty.
It would have to do with lifting, throwing, carrying, stuff like that.
-
Get a dip belt, put on lots of plates, and do weighted chips with a neutral grip instead.
Or maybe do other types of lifts? Like a modified deadlift in which you put the weight in between your legs?
-
Don’t be angry that you’re in pain; treat the pain with insouciance, just treat it like interesting information
-
When doing a floor bench press, at 5 plates or six plates, it seems that the weak link is my wrists, my wrist strength.
When I think critically about it, maybe that’s too much force for one’s wrist to handle that much force. It seems a lot of weight lifters use these wrist wraps, which I actually think is more dangerous in the long run, as you never really build your true wrist strength.
I thought I had before is that perhaps any type of pressing or pushing is bad; only focus on doing pulling, or lifting motions instead.
But how does one build a really big chest? Then perhaps the goal is to not build a big chest. Or instead, adopt some sort of neutral grip; doing heavy dumbbell presses off the floor with an arched back.
The problem with a standard overhand grip is that you have less tension or strength in your wrists. To build greater wrist strength, only neutral grip.
-
How to train with zero chance of injury?
- Extreme warm-up and yoga
- No more chest and shoulder exercises. I almost wonder if the best time is to create a new aesthetic in which having oversized chest and shoulders look silly?
-
Then after that, no regrets!
-
Perhaps a wise way to approach life is to simply ignore what others do, their technique form and ethos, or even the concept of what is desirable.
For example, what is considered desirable and undesirable. The sociology of mimetic desires; the idea that we don’t really inherently know what we want, but we simply copy and meme and follow others?
