It seems that the trend nowadays that everyone just wants to become a billionaire, and become very rich, and have financial independence and location independence etc. But, all of these goals are simply a means to something greater. What is it?

The more important question is what do you want to do? What do you want to do with your life, and what you want to do in a tree while you’re still alive in this life?

You are your activity

For example, thinking about how Virgil Abloh died at age 41. It doesn’t matter how famous, or even his personal wealth while he was still alive. What mattered more was the creative projects that he pursued, and him being able to create things that he cared for. Because after you’re dead, The only thing that is going to last is that what you have done or made.

Even Steve Jobs: it didn’t matter how rich he was when he was still alive or even how famous he was. What mattered more was his artistic vision, and how he has inspired other generations, including like people myself. And funny enough, even youngsters nowadays don’t really know who Steve Jobs is. Yet, Steve was able to do anything he wanted while he was alive, and I think that is the goal.

What is your desired activity?

What do you desire to do in a single given day, and with your life as a whole? The goal is not to own things, or purchase things. The goal isn’t to own a Lamborghini, own a Tesla, own your home, own all the new Apple products, or even own $1 billion. The goal is to be able to have the freedom, the time, the mind space, and the energy to only pursue things which you care for, and to only do what you deserve to do. And to not do anything you don’t want to do.

If you ever find yourself in a position where you’re doing things you don’t want to do, you don’t have full freedom.

Also, if you have the option or the power, change your life and designed it in such a way that you no longer need to do what you don’t like to do.

You have more control over your life than you think.
