Starting from the end backwards:
First, the high school exit exam is really really easy, maybe the only things which are harder include math and science. Otherwise everything is easy.
Things which I find all of them more bizarre include the writing portion; the rules seem pretty arbitrary.
K-12 for the sake of what?
OK, now that I am super educated, and Cindy is also super educated, the question is; “is college worth it?â€
Perhaps college is only really worth it if you desire to study something super hard-core like engineering, or if you aspire to become a doctor. But technically you could just study this online yourself. If you really wanted to.
Are colleges a scam?
Being born in 1988, and having my parents immigrate from South Korea, having me born here, the question is “is college worth it?â€
I think for first generation kids, it makes sense. If your parents haven’t had the university experience, or freshly immigrated from a different country, then I think university and college makes sense. But for everyone else, not so much.
Things which I think are a scam:
- Art schools: I don’t think there’s any good reason to go to art school, besides networking. But you could still do not working without going to art school.
- A typical humanities major: Just studying the humanities, and taking on any sort of debt is foolish.
Other majors
- It seems that knowing computer science doesn’t hurt.
