The difference between what you like, and what is the best.

I thought: I think there is a difference between what is the best, and what you like.

For example, I think the Tesla model S plaid is the best car, but I actually prefer the design of the Porsche Taycan.

In other words, what do you consider best and what you prefer can often be conflicting. And that is fine.

The nice harmony is when what you consider the best, is indeed your supreme preference. For example, I consider the Ricoh GR 3 the best camera, and it is my preference. I consider the Outlier.nyc black Marino wool T-shirt as the best, and it is also my favorite shirt to wear.

What is the purpose of striving to have the best, having perfect, and having what you like?

I think the end goal is actually to not think about it. For example, about 10 years ago I bought these titanium framed Lindberg glasses for about $700, and at the time while I thought it was an expensive investment, I’ve not tired of the design for almost a decade.

And now, I never think about changing or upgrading my Glasses. in fact, I have zero interest in shopping or looking at the designs of any other glasses. And for me this is a Zen thing.

Why am so enthusiastic about the Ricoh GR 3

I’ve always wanted a perfect camera, and now I’ve discovered it, I don’t really think about cameras anymore. I have almost 0 interest in any new cameras are released, unless they are made by Ricoh or Pentax. then the upside is that I could just focus on my photography, which is the goal.
